The Colours of Fall

4 December 2007
I mentioned elsewhere that the North Texas autumn was devoid of colours. The leaves fall off the trees like they do everywhere else, but here they don't seem to change colours first. I stand corrected. The Black Oaks in my yard don't change colours first. But, the Black Oak in my neighbours yard certainly did. When we returned from our weekend in Galveston, his tree was a wonderous conglomeration of colour. Witness:
The Colours of Fall

Cheers.
